What type of accommodation is there in "Omai" and what is the difference between them? There are two types of hosting: Kaiseki, a type of seasonal Japanese tasting meal, a variable number of personal dishes, personal dessert, Japanese beers and sake during the meal. The cost including the al-Khal is 550 NIS per diner. And there is the izakaya which is actually a kind of bar, you come to drink, there is a selection of sake, beers, whiskey, etc. and there is also a menu from which you can order snacks, it is more bar food. The cost depends on what you order.

How do you order a gift card?I have the option of purchasing a gift card for a tasting meal, the cost is 550 NIS per diner, 1100 per couple. Send me the names (or nicknames) of those for whom the gift is intended on WhatsApp, I design a gift card and send it to you for approval. After the payment, I give you a serial code, with which you call me and determine when to arrive. The card is valid for one year, so the recipients of the gift can decide when it's convenient for them. Please take into account the waiting times.

How do I book a Private Meal?As a couple up to six pax, I would recommend that you join one of the open evenings I host, the dates can be seen on Ontopo. At private event in Umai I serve the tasting Menu, certain adjustments can be made for the private dinner menu. Over ten (up to fifteen can be seated together, up to 22 can be hosted, but in this case you will not be able to sit together at one table), depending on the number of diners, the date and the adjustments that need to be made, the price varies. For a private dinner invoice , you can contact me on WhatsApp, with the date, number of diners and adjustments to the menu if there are any.

Are There Vegetarian Options?Although there is a vegetarian/vegan cuisine in Japan, it's called Shojin Ryori, but I've never specialized in it. During my dinners there is a variety of fish, meat and seafood and the order of the dishes as well as the ingredients is important. Adjustments of this type cannot be made.

Is it possible to make a "kosher" style meal?If you eat kosher style, you will have no problem coming to an izakaya evening, there is a wide variety of non-seafood/pork dishes on the menu. In the delicious meals (the kaiseki) it is possible to make adjustments of this kind only when I am already in the middle of the menu (the season) and the recipes of that season are ready. You can check with me in advance on WhatsApp before placing the order, but this will not always be possible.

And what if options for pasketters? (one who eats fish but does not eat meat)If you eat fish and seafood, you will have no problem coming to an izakaya evening, there is a wide variety of dishes without beef/chicken/pork on the menu. In the delicious meals (the kaiseki) it is possible to make adjustments of this type only when I am already in the middle of the menu (the season) and the recipes for that season are ready. You can check with me in advance on WhatsApp before placing the order, but this will not always be possible.

Is there a gluten free menu? All the sauces necessarily contain soy, and dashi also contains soy, the dishes come depending on their sauces. The kitchen is not sterile for gluten, in case of acute sensitivity I cannot offer a sterile kitchen or menu for gluten since soy is included in the sauces and some of the dishes. It is not possible to make the sauces with gluten-free soy because it is only one component out of many in them. If you can eat soy, I recommend going to an izakia (bar) evening, there is a wide variety of flour-free dishes on the menu and you can enjoy without feeling deprived.

-
Is there parking in the area? There is a parking lot not far away, you get directions to it in a reminder message before arriving at your order. However, it is always recommended to come to me by taxi, as my meals are accompanied by sake, and quite a bit of it...
